Cookies and storage
Official version 1, not reviewed by a lawyer. Rejects Esports LLC wrote this page in plain words from how Round One really works. It is in effect as written, but a lawyer has not reviewed it yet, and we may update it after that review. It is not legal advice.
The short version: Round One and TradeBack set no cookies and use no tracking. They keep a few things in your browser so you stay signed in, your settings stick and the sites load fast.
About this page
- Rejects Esports LLC wrote this page itself, in plain language, from how Round One and TradeBack really work. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet. We plan to have it reviewed, and we may update it after that review. Any change follows the rules for changes in this page.
- This page is still our official version and is in effect as written.
- Nothing in this page, or anything else we publish, is legal advice to you. If you need legal advice, ask your own lawyer.
- If a court finds that any part of this page cannot be enforced as written, that part is applied as far as the law allows, and the rest still applies.
- Nothing in this page takes away a right that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be given up by agreement.
- If something here is unclear, ask us at rejectsesportsbusiness@gmail.com before you rely on your own reading.
What Round One keeps in your browser
- Sign-in (Google Firebase, in IndexedDB as firebaseLocalStorageDb): keeps you signed in until you sign out.
- Light or dark mode (rejects-theme): only if you pick one instead of following your device.
- Time zone (rejects-tz): only if you pick one.
- Notices closed (rejects-notice, and the cookie notice): so a notice you closed stays closed.
- TradeBack launch notice (rejects-tb-launch): so the TradeBack launch pop-up shows only once on that browser.
- Streams (rejects-twitch): only if you tick "Always load streams on this browser".
- Age check (rejects-age): if sign-up stopped someone under 13, it stays stopped on that browser for 24 hours.
- Drafts (r1-signup-draft, r1-org-draft, and r1-signup-path, r1-year and r1-discord-state for the current visit only): so a half-filled form is not lost and the Discord link can finish safely.
- Saved broadcast looks (r1-broadcast-looks- plus your account ID): casters' looks on that computer.
- Fast loading (r1-boards: entries, up to 7 days, and offline caches whose names start with r1-): copies of the site's code and core pages, saved when you first visit, and of other pages and pictures, saved the first time you open them.
What TradeBack keeps in your browser
- Sign-in (Google Firebase, firebaseLocalStorageDb).
- Your team's tracker data (rejects-gameday-tracker-v1), so TradeBack works offline and rounds survive bad signal, and the live round between devices (rejects-live-sync).
- Setup (rejects-pending-signup during first setup, rejects-cloud-config), map alignment (tb-map-alignment-v1), theme, time zone and the age check, as above.
- Offline copy of the app (service worker cache rejects-tracker).
Clearing it
Signing out ends your sign-in. Clearing the site's data in your browser settings removes everything above. In TradeBack, sync first: tracker data that only lives on that device is lost when it is cleared.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track you, so these signals change nothing here. They are welcome all the same.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics, advertising or any other tool that tracks people, we will ask for your consent first with a proper consent banner, and update this page and the Privacy Policy before it starts.
