Copyright and Content Removal
Official version 1, not reviewed by a lawyer. Rejects Esports LLC wrote this page in plain words from how Round One really works. It is in effect as written, but a lawyer has not reviewed it yet, and we may update it after that review. It is not legal advice.
This page explains how to ask us to remove something from Round One Network (round-one.net) or TradeBack (tradeback.round-one.net): copyright complaints, intimate images, trademarks, personal information and other content. You do not need an account to ask.
The short version
- Intimate images of you shared without your consent: use the fast route in section 1. We remove them within 48 hours at the latest, and usually much sooner.
- Copyright: send a notice to our Copyright Agent (section 2). We remove the content within 2 business days of a complete notice.
- Anything else (personal information, impersonation, pictures of you or your child, trademarks): see sections 5 and 6.
- Sexual content involving a minor: report it at once at round-one.net/report. We remove it and report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Never send us copies.
About this page
- Rejects Esports LLC wrote this page itself, in plain language, from how Round One and TradeBack really work. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet. We plan to have it reviewed, and we may update it after that review. Any change follows the rules for changes in this page.
- This page is still our official version and is in effect as written.
- Nothing in this page, or anything else we publish, is legal advice to you. If you need legal advice, ask your own lawyer.
- If a court finds that any part of this page cannot be enforced as written, that part is applied as far as the law allows, and the rest still applies.
- Nothing in this page takes away a right that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be given up by agreement.
- If something here is unclear, ask us at rejectsesportsbusiness@gmail.com before you rely on your own reading.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe something on Round One or TradeBack infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Copyright Agent:
Copyright Agent, Rejects Esports LLC 5826 Buckwheat Rd, Milford, OH 45150, United States Email: rejectsesportsbusiness@gmail.com Phone: 508-918-4515
Your notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).
- What copyrighted work you say was infringed.
- Where the material is on our sites, with a link or enough detail for us to find it.
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or allowed to act for the owner.
When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable the material within 2 business days, tell the person who posted it, and send them a copy of the notice.
Please be accurate. Under United States law, a person who knowingly makes a false claim can be liable for the damage it causes.
Counter-notices
If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you had the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice to our Copyright Agent with:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- What was removed and where it was before.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any court where we may be found), and that you will accept service from the person who sent the original notice.
We send the counter-notice to the person who complained. If they do not tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have started a court case, we put the material back.
Repeat infringers
An account that gets 3 valid copyright complaints within 12 months is closed. A complaint that is withdrawn, or that a counter-notice successfully answers, does not count.
Users in Canada
For Canadian users, we also follow Canada's notice-and-notice rules: when we receive a copyright notice about a Canadian user's material, we forward it to that user and keep a record for 6 months. We still remove material that breaks our Terms of Service or Community and Safety Rules.
Other removal requests
Use the removal request form or email rejectsesportsbusiness@gmail.com. We remove, on request:
- Personal information about you shared without your consent, such as your address, phone number, school or real name.
- Impersonation: an account, team, org or picture pretending to be you.
- Pictures of you uploaded by someone else without your permission.
- Pictures of a minor uploaded by someone else, when the minor or their parent or guardian asks.
- Anything else that breaks our Community and Safety Rules.
We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act, so that removal requests cannot be used to harass people.
Trademarks
If a team, org or account name, tag or logo copies your brand or another team in a way that misleads people, tell us at the removal form or by email. We ask the owner to change it. If it is not changed within 7 days, we rename it or remove the logo ourselves. Clear cases (for example pretending to be a real brand or pro team) can be removed at once.
Ubisoft, BLAST and other rights holders
If Ubisoft, BLAST or another official rights holder asks us to remove its material, we remove it at once. Round One is not made, approved or backed by Ubisoft or BLAST.
False or bad-faith requests
Sending false or bad-faith removal requests, for example to harass a team or get an opponent's content taken down, breaks our Community and Safety Rules. The person loses the right to file removal requests and goes on our normal penalty ladder.
What may not be uploaded
The Community and Safety Rules list what may not be uploaded. In short: nothing you do not have the right to use, nothing sexual involving anyone under 18, no intimate images without consent, no private information, no faked evidence and no viruses.
